The classy fans in the Bronx give the only cheer they know how.
Other, of course, than a lot of mother jokes, gay jokes, and calling out a player's name and then telling him that he sucks.
Favorite Yankees' fan excuse- which I heard from more than one fan last night: This series is fixed. MLB wants a game 7. It is so clearly fixed.

Oh no, cheaters, take that run off the board!
And the funniest thing is that if Rodriguez hadn't auditioned for a black belt, Jeter would have found himself in scoring position rather than stuck on 1st.

For just about a split second the "fixed" conspiracy theory did cross my mind but just a split second

okay, now that we have documented proof of jeter's asshole-ability, please weigh in on a-rod. the name alone is hate worthy but i want some concrete stories. he, like jim said about jeter, often looks cocky one minute but then...actually he looks cocky all the time. is it just his devilish eyes making me think he's a bad person or are there tales to back this up.
there truly is nothing finer than a belligerent, angry yankees fan.
Thoughts from the barstool in Maine:
When A-Hole tried that little stunt last night my girlfriend looked at me and said "that's it: this is this year's Buckner moment". For an anxious few minutes all of us down at Gilbert's Pub alternated between hurling abuse at A-Hole's freakishly lip-lacking face, demanding that Torre be ejected, and making plans to avoid that annoying empire state transplant at work (who wears fresh-from-the-catalog LL Bean gear to prove he's assimilated) who would be even more unbearable.
I love the officials. I really do.
As for the MLB fix conspiracy, doing that kind of thing to Red Sox fans contavenes the 8th amendment. Whatever happens tonight just means more misery up heah deah; either winter starts early or we have to keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
jeremy, rodriguez is a selfish, cocky little bitch. but he hasn't yet screwed over a journeyman like jeter has. and he made fun of jeter a few years ago in a magazine interview so immediately i like him more than jeter. plus i haven't had to watch him with the yankees since '96 like i've had to watch jeter.
and the most important thing- rodriguez is actually great, jeter isn't. rodriguez will justifiably be regarded as one of the all time greats (at least in the regular season). so will jeter, but his isn't justified. i hate jeter!
weasel, have faith!
you people are so childish.

jeremy says:
