i saw it on saturday afternoon and i was really disappointed. my hopes weren't too high going in but i expected more. jason schwartzman wasn't very funny and his long hair really annoyed me from the very start. i liked the wacky look of dustin hoffman but it grew tiresome by the middle of the film. i expected more from david o. russell. the idea of a corporation vs. some 'save the wetlands' group seems filled with comic potential - all of it underutilized here. i only laughed at the scnes of schwartzman and wahlberg hitting each other. but that was childish humor. the kind of thing i could've watched as a kid, especially if it had been done with puppets.

Is Balgavy deliberately trying to confuse me? Or did he not get the question? I saw 'I heart huckabees' this weekend and found it confusing/intruiging/ amusing/strange/confusing. I did not, however see 'Team America' so I cant really answer this one. Like I said, have I now entered some wierd travel day parallel universe or is Balgavy just messin with my head? Maybe he's confused also.

ahhh, the old balgavy switcheroo!
the mention of puppets at the end proves that he is not merely misunderstanding the question asked but instead is answering the question in typical balgavian fashion. ask yourself, is the problem the answer or was the question not asked properly?

the problem is in balgavy.

i'm not the problem. i think if dan has to ask around if he should see a movie, then he really doesn't want to see the movie. he's probably read four or five reviews and none of them loved the movie, but some of the reviewers probably liked the movie. matt and mooney and i think chris larry all raved about FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. that's the "yah! whoo! america kicks ass! movie that dan should go see." i hear the songs in the puppet movie aren't as good as they were in the south park movie. and, let's face it, we all go to the movies for the songs.

i thought bowles' confusion was funny.

second off, huckabees was not good.

I don't like Billy Bob Thornton, but I do like movies about Texas and football (Varsity Blues rules!) so I am up for giving FNL a chance.

You guys are crazy...Huckabees is great. One of my favorites of the year.

I've heard Team America is disappointing. I am up for seeing FNL. I no longer know what to think about Huckabees.

jeremy adds:
team huckabees sucked, except for the reviews and american puppets was better than the prequel. FNL went downhill once jimmy fallon left.

i was waiting for someone to make the FNL joke. jim, you liked varisty blues? ew. do you like paul walker?
