Before the movie, we went for some pizza and then had some time to kill at Prospect Park.

Bowles and I didn't want to be outdone so we give the swings a whirl.

Not as easy on my stomach as it was twenty years ago.
During the movie, each kid got popcorn, candy, and a soda. After the movie there was some time for frisbee throwing before finishing up with some ice cream sundaes. It was the exact opposite of school -- the teachers never said no.

One of the best fild trips ever! ONe of my personal highlights was Mr R ordering a bottle of Poland Spring in the pizza place. This brought a response from one of the kids along the lines of "let yourself go Mr R, Have a soda!"
I was also reminded that the human body grows and changes, as indicated by Listo's comment, a 32 year old man no longer has the stomach for pizza, candy and playground fun in swift succession.
Caption for last photo? "Listmaker fights through the pain to see if he can still do the ole 'keeping up in the swing by strength of ab muscles alone in order to impress the freshmen girls' while Mondale times the effort."
Or-
"Listmaker tries in vain to escape Mondale's story about his Norwich City watch."
