Thanks so much for the props, publicity and promotion.
Just so everyone knows, copies should be ready to ship the first week of September, w/out any problems. So far, I'm on schedule for this, and my printer has awesome support with technical stuff.
The orders have been brisk and I appreciate your faith in what I have, particularly in that its a "sight, unseen" proposition.
If you love baseball, have a nostalgic hankering for a time when local was all there was, then I think you'll find it an enjoyable and even, enlightening, read.
Baumer is being too modest and self-effacing. I had the distinct honor of sharing a monthly masthead with Jim on a few occasions and can say without fear of hyperbole that his writing will keep you turning the page long past your bedtime. The man is the Richard Russo of home plate.
And Listmaker, I'm looking forward to the Maine post, with the no-holds-barred review of our podunk state and the photo of you mit minivan....
