the peanut's hot dog comes from callahan's. they utilize the deep fry method, but are not as reknowned or lauded at rutt's hut of clifton, nj, where you can actually order your dog to the crispness of your liking. callahan's is sadly closing - i've been a patron for 20+ years and it's been in fort lee for way longer than that. some jerk bought the land and is going to build another bank since fort lee needs another bank to go along with the 20+ that already exist in a town that's like 2 square miles. i guess it's time for me to check out hirams, another hot dog roadhouse which is directly across the street and which i have never tried.
