But then I noticed something quite disturbing. Some prankster had made it look like Damon was reading the book How to Play Baseball by Derek Jeter. I had to admit that this was pretty funny. But there is no way that I was going to let that shit stand. So I got to work and printed out the cover of The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty, the night in question is Game 7 of the 2001 World Series. I haven't read the book but I figured this book would be more to Mr. Damon's liking.

I was quite pleased with my work. However, not even 90 minutes later, the curriculum director of the preschool came in and scolded me for taking down her work. She did this in somewhat of a good-natured manner but I'm not sure if she was amused or not. Regardless, she left the change stay so I win! Down with the Yankees. Go Red Sox!
Preschool Director did tell me that she was working on getting the poster out of the lobby. Sometimes even an educator's love of reading comes second to having her nose rubbed in the worst postseason collapse of all time.

Outstanding. Too bad Johnny can't read (he can't even manage sleeves for his wedding tux). Should it not result in some humorless, purple faced and screaming, bleacher creature of a pre-school director charging into your classroom like Karim Garcia into a groundskeeper, might I humbly suggest upping the ante with this book?.

i forgot to mention that i asked her how she knew that it was me who had switched the jeter book that she had put up to the buster olney book. she refused to answer. either i was ratted out or i was the obvious choice for such chicanery.
You obviously have a stool pigeon in your vicinity- if she had been using pure detective work alone, she would have discounted you as a suspect. Most people would have expected you to plant this book.
Was it really directress that put it up or did a certain high-pitched librarian from a certain Sox-ish geographical area perhaps have a hand in it...?
you must be right about who put up the poster. i didn't even think about that. but the director definitely is the one who put the jeter picture on it. and i'm definitely the one who replaced it.
And yet they gave us a hard time when we put Chewbacca up.
