My First Christmas Tree

My initial thoughts on eventually getting a Christmas Tree for the apartment were quite ho-hum. Having never really celebrated Christmas, I had no allegiance to it. I always figured that we wouldn't get a tree until we had kids. But that argument didn't go too far this holiday season.

I'm actually quite happy about the whole thing. I like the stockings full of Hanukkah presents. I like the third grade artwork near the tree. I like the menorah next to the tree. I like the dreidel amongst the goy decorations. And, of course, I love Chewbacca.

Youthlarge has been bugging me for days to open the presents early. F that I say! I never have had the excitement of wanting to get up early to open Christmas presents. Tonight, I get to feel a little of that gentile glory that has long been denied me.

Then after a trip to Jersey, we get to light up the menorah and reach into the stockings for Hanukkah present #1! I love being married to a Jewrean!

Just in case I forgot what to do on Christmas, Youthlarge gave me a reminder on the Hong's Seafood calendar.

Don't be fooled- not a tall tree but a short Listmaker. Happy everything, you two.
