Today was my interview at my first choice of employment for next year. And to answer the question of this post's title - no, I don't think the search is over. I don't think I did that well. I don't answer questions all that well at an interview - especially the first of the season. I don't count the one at the charter school because I didn't really want that job.
At the interview, there were five people - the principal and four teachers on the Hiring Committe. I see all those people and I kind of freeze up. I'm sure I did okay but I needed to do better than that. If they just could see me teach or talk to pretty much any administrator I've worked under, any teacher I've worked with, or any parent who has had their kid in my class, I think that they would want to hire me. Instead, they get me not stating things well.
If I get a job at this school, I'd be shocked.
Oh well, not all is lost. I did get a call today to set up an interview at a school in the East Village.
I can't say that I'm in the best mood tonight.

I bet you did a lot better than you think:) Chin up
state of the school was nothing you dont already know
Interviews are horrific experiences, and about as indicative of performance as how well you can make coffee. I hope it pans out and that the assembled panel can extract the quality from the nerves et al. Keep on keepin' on, and all that.
