While I Gear Up to Sift Through Hundreds of Pictures

Enjoy these two links.

1. An article from New York magazine about everyone's favorite sixth grade rock band.

2. The video that Jason and I became obsessed with during our stay in Asia. MTV Asia is the best.

Tacky and Tsubasa - Ho! Summer
I defy you to find a catchier chorus in any song out this year. American pop doesn't hold a candle to this gem. So gay yet so innocent at the same time. Watch the whole thing. You won't be sorry.

I kind of beat to the punch on the article...sorry I already blogged about it

They are something aren't they?

I'm not an expert on sexual symbolism but I can't decide if they are gay or not. The force-feeding of two round fruit followed by a banana, the straddling of the ocean going inflatable phallus, and the bakery van with buns painted on the side, versus repeatedly sinking a basketball through the hoop- long held as a metaphor for straight sex. I could go either way on this video, as apparently so could Tacky and Tsubasa.

Also, I think the RIAA should leave file sharers alone and go after the composers of this song. After the first listen it sonds as if CCR, Ike and Tina Turner, and the Beatles all have cases for copyright infringement...

Oh, and welcome home, boom boom boy. How much did it suck to miss most of the Met's best season in 20 years? (No, don't tell me, you followed them obsessively from dank and cheerless internet cafes across Asia).
