It is 92 Degrees Outside

But I'm trying to see just how hot it gets in the new apartment before feeling like I have to think about installing AC.

I've had window units for the past ten years in Brooklyn. But those other apartments were always very hot and sticky and would have been unbearable without AC. The new apartment is pretty damn pleasant until it hits about 85 or so outside. We face out on the courtyard and it always a few degrees cooler there than on the street. So we've been fairly lucky so far this season.

It is so much more pleasant to just keep the windows open than be forced to use AC. But we'll see if SHR and I can bear the summer without it. I've got two fans on me right now and I'm wondering how much longer the experiment can possibly last.

We made it pretty much until now. And I am consistently preggo-hot, so that's saying something. Last night I had Wes and GMB put in the big first floor AC unit to prepare for today and tomorrow. But ours stays quite cool, also. Thank heavens.

one pair of large and one pair of medium adult incontinence pants, don the medium then the large; fill the space between with dry ice. Keeps one cool with the bonus of giving one hip hop's sought after bubble bottom.

we went for years with no AC on the top floor on 8th ave -- it got pretty bad at times. this house has central air but we still rarely use it, as it doesn't really work that well on the 2nd floor. we just try to spend time outside, but it's a struggle sometimes when i'm hot and pb isn't. i think we need more fans.
