In my experiences -- and yes, I have played in a dodgeball league as an adult -- the game is over when either: 1) a member of the opposite team has his nose bloodied and the medical gloves come out; or 2) when a member of our team throws a dodgeball into the audience, on purpose, at a group of kids.
