A Vote for the Latter

There used to be a time (like um, every year until this year) that I spent October trying to watch every pitch I could. I'd stay up late. I didn't go out much. I only wanted to watch postseason baseball.

This year, I'm either out during the games, doing other things while they are on in the background, or going to sleep in the 7th inning of tight games. I'm just not that invested.

Am I becoming less obsessive because I'm barely paying attention to this year's action? Or is it merely that I'm bitter about the Mets not being in it?

I'm in the same boat as you. So far, I've watched significant parts of a few games, but not a single game from start to finish. Part of the problem is some of these great games have been ending post-midnight. That's too late for me on a school night.

The sports movie from bums to champs montage like season of the Rockies didn't pique your interest?

The 8 to 8:30 start time is killing me too (the western games were beyond my ability to stay awake).

Also, Tim McCarver is a douche, but the radio signal from WRKO and the TV pics from Fox don't sync up, so I'm stuck with him.

the rockies have been so good that it hasn't been terribly exciting. plus the games start at 10.

i think the world series should be quite interesting though. maybe the games will be in the 4th inning by 11:30 pm when i'll probably go to sleep.
