Although the older I get, the younger that 40 seems to me. For some reason, 37 depresses me more than I think 40 will. I know. I'm weird.
I don't have any plans to go out this year. Just seems too complicated to coordinate anything.
Instead, it is time for some birthday reminiscing.
2000: Where the hell is this?

2003: Best birthday ever! Thanks SHR!

2005: 5th Ave Bingo

2006: Oh geez.

2007: Bocce mania.
2008: Two Toms

I have experience in 37 because I'm 38! :-)
Yes, we're gonna do some cooking soon!! Happy birthday! xx
Ah, you old dog you!
I'm still just one month younger than you, and am even trying to grow grey hairs in order to catch up.
Enjoy your thirty day period of grace, I'm right behind you!
Just think, if you were the Twentieth century the following things would be happening.
FDR would have just been inaugurated for his second term.
Guernica got bombed.
The old King got crowned.
Amelia Earhart disappeared.
Got you wondering.
no idea where picture #1 is, but it appears to be some sort of Asian restaurant. clicking through to Balgavy's page he makes mention of you hitting me in the forehead with a snowball (or spice drop or something) and drawing blood. i have no recollection of that whatsoever.
molly,
hah!
p.s. as in postscript. i thought you meant public school.
alex,
1937 - what a wonderful year. i can't wait for next year when i can share the year with kristallnacht.
jamie,
yeah i have no memory of drawing blood either. maybe it was such a hard blow with a spice drop that it knocked you out thus causing a memory loss.
re: picture #1--I had no idea at first but now I sort of remember once going to a Thai restaurant in the East Village with a big group of people. Someone (maybe Mooney?) had to procure the big table for us. Is it possible that was your birthday?
wow, i have no memory of that. i do remember going to korean bbq with mooney in the east village one time though.
Re#1 -- since I am in this picture you would think I could tell you where it was taken, especially because the decor is...unique.
But I hope I was very drunk, as I have no idea whatsoever where that was.
