Thoughts I Had While at the Baseball Project Show Last Friday

- Is Pete Buck getting paid for this or since he's so rich does he let his bandmates pocket all the earnings?

- What percentage of people here are not baseball fans? What percentage of the crowd is under 40? Under 50?

- Any show where I can engage in a discussion with the person next to me about the 1976 Orioles is a good show.

- This was definitely my first ever show where Ron Gant was mentioned.

- Is Pete Buck even a baseball fan or is he just along for the ride? Is he even having fun? He looks bored. What's with his haircut?

- Where is Pete Buck staying the night? Perhaps at the La Quinta Inn at 3rd Ave and 13th St?

- I'm assuming Peter Gammons loves this band.

- How many of the players who are still alive have heard the songs about them?

- Has Bud Selig heard the song about Harvey Haddix?

- Oh my gosh, I want to punch Craig Finn in the face. I've now gone from being ambivalent about The Hold Steady to being downright hostile towards them.

- Wow, Scott McCaughey is what Balgavy really should be aspiring to be one day.

Bart bought one of the shirts.

After the show, Bart and I went to Sidecar where we got into a discussion about whether or not anyone there would even know who Pete Buck was if he walked in the door. It reminded me a bit of conversations I've had over the years with Stone Groove. People know who Pete Buck is, right? Bart basically seems willing to give up on anyone under the age of 35 about knowing anything about anything.
