Baseball Trip 2012, Part 1

We arrived in Daytona Beach at the Mayan Inn. Good times were sure to ensue. Right? Right?

Post game tacos. This place restored Matt's faith in America.

This is how Marc and Erik spent their time after some carousing around town.

We missed going into the Burt Reynolds Museum by about 30 minutes. I'm still getting over how close we had come.

Amazing.

I love this sign for a crematorium.

In West Palm Beach, we went to the restaurant that Rosemary and Stone Groove used to love to go to.

Rosemary recommended the chocolate shake.

My great grandparents' house. Stone Groove and Rosemary lived with them after my grandmother died in 1954.

And then of course, bocce.

And as usual, Erik won.

In Miami, we saw some art.

And some jai-alai. I wished I had seen this sport in its heyday. Now it's pretty darn sad.

I should have bought the Daniel bobble head.

Despite missing a "d", this DVD was sold out. Too bad.

The games:
Daytona Beach: The Night of Odd Statues, Dance Contests, and Human Centipede References
Jupiter: The Night of Stuffed Ponies and Making it onto the Field
Miami: The Night of Modern Art and Fried Fish
